Blackacre is excited to welcome our April writer in residence,Shiv Kotecha!

Shiv Kotecha is a writer, artist and scholar living in New York City. He is the author of the Unlovable (Troll Thread, 2016), EXTRIGUE (Make Now, 2015) OUTFITS (Troll Thread, 2013) and PAINT THE ROCK (Troll Thread, 2011). Other writing can be found online at GaussPDF, Jacket2, Social Text and elsewhere. His first solo show, Looking for Richard, a mixed media installation, was displayed at Ginerva Gambino gallery (Cologne, Germany) in 2015, and he has since exhibited work in the US and abroad. He is a member of the international artist collective,The Collective Task and co-curates Poetry Time at the Chateau, a monthly reading series in New York City. He is also a Ph.D. candidate at NYU, where he is completing a dissertation titled “Second-Hand Poetics: Duration and Writing from Poe to Post-Conceptualism.”
