For a truly unique wedding, reception, party, or business meeting – indoors and outdoors– choose Blackacre for your next event! Nestled in a lush 270-acre nature preserve near Jeffersontown, the historic homestead, barn, and grounds of Blackacre offer a slice of country charm. And yet we are just 25 minutes from downtown Louisville!

Here at Blackacre we have a variety of unique and beautiful spaces available for events of all sizes! Each venue allows groups to take advantage of Blackacre’s natural and historic beauty.

Historic Double Crib Barn & Grounds
To help create an unforgettable event our 200 year old barn is a wonderful and customizable option for ceremonies and cocktail receptions of up to 60. When used along with the surrounding grounds it is also a fun option for dance floor space and photo booth and bar set-up. Whether open-air or tented, our grounds provide a scenic space for both ceremonies and receptions of up to 300 guest.
Presley Tyler 1844 Farmhouse
The Tyler house is a popular option for the bridal suite and serves as a stunning backdrop for first-look photos! Its front lawn is a great option for intimate ceremonies of up to 100 guests, while the interior of the home can accommodate up to 50 guests for sit-down parties or up to 75 for cocktail style receptions.
Memorial Pond
The Memorial Pond is a beautiful and classic option for outdoor ceremonies of up to 100 and when paired with the Barn & Grounds flows seamlessly from the Ceremony to the Reception.
Nature Center and Grounds (capacity: 50 inside, 100 outside):
Our Schick Nature Center is the perfect fit for parties of up to 50 guests. The Nature Center’s grounds, surrounded by beautiful trees and pastures, is another great option for ceremonies and gatherings of up to 100 guests.
Special options available to renters include horse and buggy rides and hay bales for seating. Remember that Blackacre ensures a unique wedding experience by welcoming all photographers, caterers, and outside wedding vendors.
