Looking for the perfect summer camp? Blackacre Nature Preserve and Historic Homestead expands almost 300 acres; our woods, hiking trails, ponds, and streams along with our multiple breeds of animals and historic structures provide the perfect environment in which kids can play, imagine, and ignite their love for the outdoors.   At our summer camps we strive to promote the opportunity for children to immerse themselves in nature and grow as independent thinkers.

Your child can now get a whole summer’s worth of fun and adventure packed into one week.   This year we have two camps.  You can register for one or both for twice the fun

June 22-26 Exploration Camp 9-11:30

July 6-10 Fun on the Farm 9-11:30

We will provide small discovery groups at each camp based on age/grade. So, whether your child is a Wee Explorer (5-6), a Young Explorer (7-8) or a Brave Explorer (9-10), they will enjoy the wonders of nature while learning about the world they live in through discovery and investigation.

June 22-26 Exploration Camp

Our Exploration Camp will focus on discovering the wonders of nature!. All groups will experience a variety of interactive explorations, including daily nature hikes,  aquatic investigations at Dragonfly Pond, nature photography and crafts, and time with our many farm animals,  We invite your child to come learn and enjoy- It will be a week filled with fun, adventure and discovery.

July 6-10 Fun on the Farm
Our Fun on the Farm Camp will focus on working and playing on the farm. We will have daily interactions with our farm animals, hay rides, nature hikes, gardening explorations, time to explore our barn and historic homestead. Our games and crafts will entertain and educate as we look at how life on the farm is filled with fun and adventure.

Summer Camps

Blackacre offers two camp options for your kids this year!  Choose one or both for a summer they will never forget.

You guys must be doing a fantastic job with the day campers.  I just dropped my two girls off for the morning.  They ran off so quickly to meet their groups that I didn’t even get a ‘goodbye ‘ from either of them!
Can’t wait to hear their stories at the end of the day.
